GeekFest 2004, Part 1
Friday, September 10, 2004
A friend and I went to an Atlanta institution -- DragonCon -- over the Labor Day weekend. No words can describe what a spectacle it was, which is why I took some photos.

GeekFest 2004 starts out with a bit of D&D Heroes on the Xbox. Left to right: Todd, me, Steve.
Yep, DragonCon even had a parade. Look at all those nerds...
The soldiers of Cobra. Didn't see any GI Joes chasing them.
A bunch of Trekkies dressed old school.
Look closely at the car, and you'll see that it's built in the shape of a Klingon Bird-of-Prey. And yes, those are Klingons on motorcycles behind it.
A closer shot of the Klingons-on-bikes. Of course, they all turned away from me at the same time.
Don't know what the heck that thing is, but it looked cool.
A funeral director trying to advertise his business.
Another mystery monster. I suppose my claim to geekdom is sinking with each monster I don't recognize.
Ah, finally, something I recognize! It's the Ghostbusters!
Men of Gondor.
